Toyota Rush 2022 Review

Many Filipinos consider that this model will not let you down because of its specs and features. Is that true? Let’s find out the answer in the following section.

Recent Updated Features

This car has an Automatic Braking System (ABS) to prevent the wheels from locking when sudden braking occurs.

In addition, the Hill-Start Assist technology prevents the car from reversing itself after allowing for a few seconds for the car to begin rolling down a steep slope. It is important to have this as it may be difficult to start moving again after a severe accident.

Moreover, this SUV model has 6 Safety Restraints seats designed to protect passengers who can sustain injuries during a violent collision. These seats come with side and curtain airbags.

Similar to Aruz, all Rush variants are available with both stability and transaction control and six airbags.

The Rush is priced higher than the Aruz because it includes many extra safety features like a 360-degree monitor (not yet available in Malaysia), blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and a front digital video recorder (DVR).

In the Philippines market, the price of this model begins at ₱983,000. This price is applied for E 1.5-MT, which is at entry-level. And the G 1.5-AT costs the buyers ₱1,100,000.

Pros & Cons

Although it was launched two years, Toyota Rush’s exterior is still modern because of the front fascia, as well as various sporty specifications.

The MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) special highlights include body cladding on bold creases, sides, crossbars with roof rails, a rear spoiler that doubles as a utility compartment lid with the built-in handle when folded down, large arches with flared edges that house wide 18 inch wheels suitable for offroading and toughing it out over rugged terrain.

Besides, for any SUV, it is imperative to have a high level of ground clearance. The Toyota Rush achieves this with a steady 220mm ride height that allows you to bounce around smoothly on holes or rough terrain on the road.

In every way, comfort is paramount. The luxury car can offer this - in commanding position, confidence-boosting, and shielding of underside scratches incurred by riding low in a car like this.

Another noticeable benefit of this model is that not surprising when you consider it’s powered by an engine as big as its range - with a choice of a 2.0 Diesel or a 180ps 2.0-liter petrol unit, both matched to the smooth and efficient Xtronic CVT gearbox – helping it achieve stunning levels of performance.

Rush also achieves top marks for boot space thanks to flexible seating options, including split-fold 50:50 second-row seats in combination with split-fold 60:40 front seats, ensuring maximum cargo area flexibility.

  • Modern design

  • Build-in handle

  • High level of ground clearance

  • Powerful engine

  • Great performance

  • Flexible seating option

First of all, Toyota Rush is equipped with a 1.5 liters four-cylinder dual VVT-i that generates a maximum output of 6,000 rpm with a 4,200 pm peak torque.

Because the seven-seat SUV has enough space for five occupants, the third row possibly a bit stuffed, but that is to be expected because it was made for smaller frames.

Finally, with music lovers, this specification may annoy them all. The car comes with a large 6.8 inches display as standard on all models. The infotainment system has many connectivity options, including Bluetooth, AUX, and USB.

Still, unfortunately, it doesn't feature the Apple CarPlay & Android Auto technologies, which are quickly becoming commonplace in today's modern vehicles.

  • Small interior

  • Apple Carplay & Android Auto are unavailable

The information above is almost all about Toyota Rush 2022 review that can give you a clear look at this model of Toyota. Needless to say, this model is surely a great vehicle for your family with its great features and affordable price.
