If you ever wonder what is the cheapest sports car in the Philippines or how much is the cheapest car in the Philippines, let’s find it below!

What kind of sports vehicle would you be? You'd probably suggest a Ferrari or a Porsche, but let's avoid stereotyping here. We shouldn't even utilize the standard P4-P5 million ones we have now. Can you tell us which sports car under P2 million you'd like if we asked you again? Or are you going to be absolutely stumped?

To make it clear, if you ever wonder what is the cheapest sports car in the Philippines or how much is the cheapest car in the Philippines, let’s find it below!

#04 - Subaru BRZ 2.0 MT

The Subaru BRZ is a rebadged Toyota 86. This two-plus-two seater sports car was co-developed by Subaru and Toyota but is only manufactured by Subaru.

If you're wondering why they're both the same car, it's because the names differ depending on the country:

  • Toyota 86 is sold in Asia, South Africa, Australia, North America (as of August 2016), and South America. GT86 is sold in Europe. Both brands are used in New Zealand.

  • In Nicaragua and Jamaica, FT86; all around the world, BRZ.

  • In the US and Canada, Scion FR-S. The FR-S was rebranded the Toyota 86 in August 2016, following the demise of the Scion brand.

The front fascia design, front fender vent, headlight, and grille assembly are all different on the BRZ, which stands for Boxer engine, Rear-wheel drive, and Z for the zenith. Its suspension configuration differs from that of the Toyota 86, therefore they aren't quite identical.

#03 - Toyota 86

Do not be misled; the Toyota 86 you are currently driving was originally known in North America as the Scion FR-S.

Together with the BRZ, this vehicle just underwent an update that increased its performance. Thus, the Toyota 86 is still a lot of fun to drive. The 2.0-liter flat-four in the 86 produces about 205 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque when paired with its fluid-shifting six-speed manual transmission. It has a top speed of 216 kph and can accelerate from 0 to 97 kph in 6.2 seconds. It is now slightly quicker than its predecessor and responds to turns in a crisper manner.

It now sports a redesigned fascia that has softer lines and a broader, lower intake grille that melds with them. Moreover, the new LED headlights have a nose that somewhat resembles a salamander!

#02 - Hyundai Genesis Coupe

The Hyundai Motor Company originally introduced the Genesis Coupé, a rear-wheel-drive sports coupé, to the Korean market. It is the first rear-wheel-drive sports coupé from Hyundai and shares a fundamental base with the Genesis luxury sedan.

The Hyundai Geneis received a fantastic facelift in addition to updating its base 2.0-liter engine with a larger intercooler and a twin-scroll turbocharger. Its DOHC 16-valve inline-four engine has 274 horsepower, 373 pound-feet of torque, and a 0 to 97 kph time of 5.9 seconds. It can go up to 243 kph.

#01 - Honda CR-Z

The Honda CR-Z is distinctive since it is a sporty, tiny hybrid electric car. It is advertised as a "sport hybrid coupe," combining a hybrid gasoline-electric drivetrain with classic sports elements including a 2+2 seating configuration and a standard 6-speed manual transmission. This car is also considered as one of the cheapest sports car in the Philippines.

In other words, if you like sports vehicles and want to protect the environment, the Honda CR-Z is the vehicle for you. It is one of the least polluting sports cars available thanks to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) rating of "Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV)".

With its electric motor and 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, the Honda CR-Z has an EPA rating of around 15.3 km/l for city driving and 16.6 km/l for highway travel. Also, it has a manual transmission that functions remarkably well. The bad news is that it isn't as quick and potent as the other sports vehicles discussed here. The CRZ can accelerate from 0 to 97 kph in nine seconds but only produces 130 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque. If you don't care too much about speed, it's a fine hybrid sports car.
