Toyota Prius C Profile

1. Toyota Prius C 2019: Brief Overview

Smaller and lighter than the original Toyota Prius, the Prius C has continued the legacy of eco-friendliness and improved the driving experience of every car enthusiast. Toyota made sure that feedback and recommendations from the avid Prius users were heard as they’ve added in some spunk and additional safety gears.

By the way, the “C” in the Prius C stands for “City” as the goal behind this update is to make it more urban-friendly while maintaining that hatchback appeal. The Prius C surprisingly, though is more based on the smaller Yaris.

Toyota Prius C 2019: Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Pocket-Friendly Hybrid Car
  • Superb Fuel Economy
  • Sprightly handling
  • Reliable and agile

Cons

  • City car – the “C” stands for the city in the first place so yes, it is useful in cruising the city but once you get out of the city and go to the outskirts, the car’s weaknesses slowly unfold. It is not designed to be a canyon driver, and it doesn’t take steep curves either. Outside the city and you are up for a little bumpy ride to your liking.
  • Noise machine – the Prius C is not a quiet car. The engine can be pretty noisy and loud when out on the highway, and for folks who want that smooth and noiseless engine, then this is a far away option for you.

Overall, hybrid cars are not really for everyone. But for those wanting to keep a tight budget and wants some savings when it comes to gas and maintenance, then the Toyota Prius C is something worth considering.
