Exterior Highlights

The all-new 2019 Hilux is created with a daring and bold look ideal for the adventurous and outdoorsy types. It is a 4x4 masculine looking 4-door pick up which is perfect for off-road terrains and great for long drives. The Hilux comes with protruding 17’inch alloy wheels that provides stability for the said vehicle.

Last 2017 the Hilux was able to undergo some facelifts on its exteriors giving the pick-up a more premium or upscale look. One of the most prominent features of the Hilux is large sized chrome-plated front grille with that give the pick-up a more masculine and upscale look.

The chrome grill perfectly matches the largely sized halogen headlamps. Both the side door handles and the rear bumpers of the Hilux went through just minor updates by adding chrome embellishments. These updates resulted in a 50/50 contrast of opinions although some people may like the premium feel of the chrome accents but some of them also don't appreciate it. 

The latest Hilux models have the following dimensions: 5,355mm in length, 1,855mm in width and 1,815mm in height and a wheelbase of 3,085mm. Its current size makes the vehicle look a little bit intimidating on the road especially when driving side by side with small cars.

Interior Highlights

The Hilux can accommodate a maximum of 5 passengers including the driver. The front seats are comfortable enough because of its bigger head and shoulder room. The back seats offer a huge legroom which allows 3 passengers to fit and remain comfortable even in long drives. Other features would include A/C with auto climate control and rear vents and cupholders. 

Just like any other high-end model of the Toyota, the 2019 Hilux has an automatic climate control AC system and is also Navi ready. The Hilux also has the latest entertainment system with a 7 inch LCD touchscreen infotainment with a navigation system and reverse camera, a DVD, AM/FM Radio, MP3 Player, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and Aux.  

Engine Options

The all-new Toyota Hilux 2019 has a huge engine size at 2.8 L 4-cylinder/ 16valve VN Turbo engine accompanied with a 2,755cc engine displacement.

The pick up also runs on a 6-speed automatic transmission with ECT. This high-end powertrain has a maximum power of 174hp @ 3400rpm and it’s maximum torque peaks at 450Nm @ 1600rpm. Also, the 2.8G model runs on diesel with a huge 80L fuel capacity. With its current powerful engine expect an impressive acceleration performance and increased fuel efficiency.

Other Features

Since the Toyota is known for its safety features, the Hilux is equipped with all the necessary security features such as a complete set of airbags (front, side, curtain, and knee) that provided its passengers with peace of mind while on the road. The Hilux also has an Auto Brake System (ABS) and the Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) installed.

Other security features such as the child safety locks, seat belt warning, crash sensors, front and side impact beams are also included on the 2019 Hilux base trims.
